The Mount Allison Mounties showed grit and determination in their matchup against the Dalhousie Tigers but ultimately came up short in a 4–2 loss.
Dalhousie came out strong, netting two goals early in the first half. The Mounties answered back before the break with a moment of brilliance from Riley Curry, who buried a stunning free kick to cut the deficit in half. Curry's strike lifted the team's momentum and sent the Mounties into halftime trailing just 2–1.
The Tigers extended their lead in the second half, but Mount Allison refused to back down. Mairead Graetsch found the back of the net to bring the Mounties within striking distance at 3–2, keeping the pressure on Dalhousie. Despite the push, the Tigers responded once more to seal the 4–2 final.
While the result didn't go their way, the Mounties showcased resilience and flashes of quality throughout the match, highlighted by Curry's free kick and Graetsch's determined finish. The team will look to build on this performance as they continue AUS conference play.
Two days from now, the Mounties will face UNB with the record of 0-5-0.
